    Position : UK Sales Director

    Location : Based Castleford, West Yorkshire

    Salary : £80,000 - £90,000 plus an executive benefits package including 25% bonus

    About Verder Group

    In existence for more than 60 years, the Verder Group is a Netherlands based organisation which encompasses 20 manufacturing sites, 50 sales offices, 2000 employees and boasts a turnover in excess of €450 million.

    One of their group companies, Verder Liquids, is a specialist pump design, development and manufacturing organisation. The company brings with it the process understanding, the technological expertise and the market insight to develop pumping solutions which rank among the best of the world. Thanks to numerous renowned brands, about 30 branches worldwide and a wide distribution network, Verder Liquids delivers excellent products and service, supporting its customers to excel in their markets.

    We are now looking for a Sales Director to lead on all sales and marketing activities in the UK. Based in Castleford, West Yorkshire, the team of 10 comprises regional business development managers, account managers, internal sales and marketing.

    About the Role

    Main Objective of the role

    The Sales Directror is responsible for the country sales organisation with the objective to drive profitable organic growth.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement the commercial strategy in order to strengthen and expand the position of Verder Liquids in the local market
    • Achieve overall profitable growth for the Verder Group by establishing and achieving sales targets for both existing relationships and new business; be commercially involved in key accounts and large projects
    • Collaborate with the relevant other countries and with Verder Group to continuously improve the local organization and share best practice
    • Develop and lead a strong organization, both operationally and commercially
    • Analyse business operations and develop and implement points for improvement in processes and structure
    • Manage, coach and develop the employees and build on the open, professional and entrepreneurial corporate culture and bridge cultural differences between key stakeholders and the Verder group and its companies
    • Define, manage and execute annual plans, including budget and investments and their realization within the framework of the group strategy
    • Provide financial and sales reporting to the Verder Group and management information
    • Maintain and strengthen the relation with the local brand pump suppliers

    About You

    • A degree level qualifciaiton in a technical or commercial subject
    • Proven managerial and sales experience at a manufacturing company, preferably in the pump industry or a related industry
    • Experience in working with a structured sales process, with CRM and with digital internal and external customer collaboration tools
    • Commercially strong with demonstrated success in developing existing and new accounts.
    • Socially connecting and inspiring people manager with the ability to bridge cultural differences and help implement change.
    • Extensive experience with direct/indirect team leadership.
    • Knowledge of industrial products, markets and applications (preferably in the field of pumps).
    • Experience with processes improvement methodologies.
    • High level of integrity, flexibility, ability to work under pressure and self-reflection are key attributes to perform this role
    • Able to travel throughout the UK (25%) and internationally (5%)
    • Live in or be prepared to relocate to Yorkshire region. As UK Sales Director, you will be expected to have a strong presence in the Castleford facility.
