Demand Planner
We are currently recruiting for a
Demand Planner to support our
On-Trade customers.

The Demand Planner is accountable for ensuring robust, assumption based demand plans are generated for a set of customers. They will have direct influence & responsibility for high levels of forecast accuracy and low forecast bias. They will work closely with our Customers, Commercial teams, Supply Planning & Customer Service.


Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure that robust, assumptionbased demand plans are in place across various planning horizons (13week, rolling 18 months and 3year plan) at the relevant SKU hierarchy for a set of customers
  • Generate the best possible demand forecast for the customers in collaboration with our Commercial and Finance teams and your customer contacts
  • Drive collaborative planning processes both internally and externally especially around events such as Promotions, NPD listings and Range Reviews.
  • Influence and obtain cross functional volume consensus across Sales, Finance, Marketing and Customer (where appropriate) using insight led analysis to demonstrate trends, performance and future expectations.
  • Develop a plan that will deliver excellent customer service levels
  • High level of focus on reduction of stock write offs in order to drive bottom line profit
  • Ensure appropriate systems disciplines are fully utilised, including, but not exclusive to, Statistical Forecasting, history cleansing, segmentation etc.
  • Develop & track KPIs to measure performance of forecasts and put actions plans to deliver performance in line with expectation.
  • Regularly monitor actual orders against your demand forecast, speedily investigate significant variances, understand root causes and impact across wider Supply Chain.
  • Proactively implement corrective measure to ensure that the business is working of the robust plan.
  • Demonstrate high personal integrity to develop / manage internal stakeholder relationships

Experience Required

  • Substantial demand planning or operational planning experience in an FMCG environment
  • A background and understanding of planning tools and systems, knowledge of SAP ECC is beneficial. Adaptive Insights (AI) experience considered positive but not essential.
  • Broad understanding of the Sales & Operational Planning (S&OP) process
  • Advanced Excel (Power Query advantageous) and Power BI experience beneficial for reporting and analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills able to make the connections in data, events and trends.
  • Experience in a high volume, detailed and process driven organisation
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Knowledge of the wider E2E Supply Chain ideally within an FMCG environment

  • Is able to tailor the manner of communication to take into account the very different groups of people communicated with.
  • Experience of working crossfunctionally at an operational level, with demonstrable evidence of influencing your peer group and above, and strong examples of relationship building and creation of collaborative, customerfocused plans.
  • Strong analytical skills able to make the connections in data, events and trends.
  • Has a track record of implementing KPIs & in process controls to track, measure and improve performance of agreed forecasts.
  • Good understanding and use of IT systems and databases.
  • Proven stakeholder management experience
  • Excellent project management skills
