    Description

    Are you an exceptional manager who can lead a team to transform children and young people's lives

    Smithridge Care & Support are supporting several provisions within the midlands area who are looking to recruit a registered manager for their Children's Residential Homes.

    We support young people with learning disabilities and complex needs, aged from 8 to 18 years old.

    Children's Home Registered Manager

    Location: Walsall

    As the Registered Manager, you will have day-to-day responsibility for all aspects of the operational running of the Home, providing care and support to young people, promoting their independence, and ensuring they reach and exceed their full potential. You will consistently and proactively ensure that the safety and well-being of each child is at the heart of everyday practice in the Home, with a home culture that supports this.

    You will ensure that the Home is delivered in accordance with the Children's Homes Regulations for England 2015 and associated Quality Standards, meeting and exceeding the required Ofsted inspection standards SCCIF. You will be responsible for delivering the home's objectives in line with its Statement of Purpose, which includes a therapeutic approach to care and support to meet the needs of children, leading and managing the staff team to achieve this. You will provide strong, consistent, and motivational leadership to all staff, leading by example, and coaching / mentoring them to develop and improve performance.

    You will lead any change and developments in the Home in line with relevant improvement and development plans.

    To register with Ofsted you will need to have:

    · worked for at least 2 years of the last 5 years in a position relevant to the residential care of children.

    · worked for at least 1 year in a role that requires supervisions and management of staff working in a care role.

    We take the responsibility of safeguarding our young people seriously and so we will carry out relevant checks in line with good Safer Recruitment, including an enhanced DBS check.
