- Drafting correspondence to the court, the other parties and third parties, on a wide range of issues.
- Managing and supervising document review projects.
- Being responsible for managing court deadlines and tracking active workstreams on cases.
- Drafting witness statements.
- Reviewing and commenting on legal submissions and expert reports.
- Legal research - including drafting succinct and comprehensive reports on their findings.
- Attending meetings with counsel and experts.
- Attending court and managing the practical requirements of court hearings, such as bundles and transcripts.
- Attending meetings and preparing detailed file notes.
- Qualified lawyer in England & Wales.
- A strong academic history (at least 2:1 law degree or equivalent GDL marks).
- Experience in litigation is essential. Experience in competition and/or securities litigation is highly desirable.
- Intellectually strong with a knowledge of EU and UK competition and securities law.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive - shows a high level of initiative.
- Attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with shifting priorities.
- Maintains confidentiality and exercises discretion.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Westlaw, LexisNexis, Practical Law, CE-File and, e-disclosure platforms preferred. Training provided.

Competition and Securities Litigation Associate (NQ – 2 Year PQE)
Scott+Scott is seeking a litigation associate (Newly Qualified to 2 years PQE) to join its London team. This is a one-year fixed term contract.
Scott+Scott is a boutique litigation firm specialising in complex claimant side proceedings with a focus on competition and securities law. This role is for an individual who has previous litigation experience (either as part of their traineeship or as an associate) - experience in competition damages claims before the High Court and/or Competition Appeal Tribunal, including collective proceedings, is particularly desirable.
We are looking for a hardworking associate with strong legal knowledge and clear communication and drafting skills. The candidate must demonstrate that they are able to work effectively both as part of a team and independently (as required) and that they are confident working in a fast-paced, supportive, environment. The candidate will be working with lawyers across different case teams and, from time to time, other Scott+Scott offices. It is vital that the candidate has a proactive and enthusiastic approach to their workload and can prioritise workstreams, whilst completing tasks to a high standard.
