An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Research Office at Imperial College London, in the role of Trusted Research and Integrity Officer.


International collaboration forms a major part of Imperial College London's research portfolio, and with such internationalisation we need to ensure that this activity is carried out with the highest degree of integrity and in line with legislation and any international regimes.


Working with the Head of Research Contracts Policy, the post of Trusted Research and Integrity Officer will support the mission to embed understanding of Trusted Research principles within the university, working with key academic departments within the university, enabling them with the necessary tools to take an informed and responsible approach to academic research work, as well as working to continue awareness of wider Research Integrity for healthcare research.

Duties and responsibilities:


You will also help with awareness raising campaigns and training programs on wider Research Integrity agenda, particularly ethical frameworks for healthcare.


Essential requirements:


You will have demonstrated some knowledge of Trusted Research, and Research Integrity in the healthcare setting, although this is not a pre-requisite of the role.

Some previous experience in developing and delivering information or awareness campaigns would also be helpful. Any previous roles in the HEI sector will help in understanding the way universities work.


You should demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as be able to work closely with colleagues in both academic and administrative roles.

Imperial College is located at several campuses across London, although the you will be based at the main campus in South Kensington.

The Research Office currently operates a hybrid working model, supporting work in both office and home environments.

  • The College is currently trialling a _Work Location Framework_ until early 2023. Hybrid working may be considered for this role and the role holder may be expected to work 60% or more of their time onsite, with 40% the minimum time spent onsite. The opportunity for hybrid working will be discussed at interview._
