We are currently recruiting for an experienced SEN Administrator to work for a local school in Ealing.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.15pm, term time only

This is a temporary position to help with extra workload.
Duration of role cannot be confirmed at this stage.


Job role:


  • The comprehensive administrative service you will provide, under the direction of the Assistant Headteacher/SENCO, will include:
  • typing/word processing documents
- taking and receiving telephone calls
- making diary appointments
- taking minutes
- record keeping
- organising and arranging meetings with outside agencies/other schools/parents etc

  • Ensuring the completion, maintenance of, storage and appropriate availability of SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability) records to meet statutory requirements.
  • Liaising with external agencies, other educational provisions and families to ensure efficient support and provision for all students
  • To collate information for a range of specialist documentations to include all forms and documentation related to SEND/Medical and Outreach provision
  • To be the first point of contact in for the SEND/Medical and Outreach provision for other schools, parents and other outside agencies
  • To maintain SEND/Medical and Outreach files
  • To deal with the administration of all new SEND/Medical and Outreach students to the school liaising with feeder schools, teaching staff and parents etc
  • To set, prepare and circulate agendas for all meetings inside and outside of school, where the line manager has taken on the responsibility of setting the agenda
  • To respond to general telephone queries and to make a written or electronic record of calls and answerphone messages on all matters regarding SEND/Medical and Outreach provision
  • To liaise with the Finance Officer regarding departmental orders and the payment of invoices for consumable items and services to the department
  • To carry out any new duties that may arise within the field of SEND/Medical and Outreach, as and when requested

Experience & Knowledge Required:

  • Administrative experience in an education setting
  • Sound working knowledge of and extensive experience of working within the Code of Practice for SEND
  • Experience of working with parents and with external agencies
  • Experience of using own initiative, working alone and working as part of a team
  • Experience of using SIMS,EXCEL and Word packages and be competent and confident in electronic communications
