The Apprenticeship & Routes:

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated individuals to join us, people who are looking for an exciting career rather than just a job.

This apprenticeship services two career paths, Aerospace Machinist and Aerospace Manufacturing Fitter. Honeywell will provide you with the college courses to gain the NVQ qualifications below,
alongside a salary, with annual uplifts, and competitive benefits.

Aerospace Manufacturing Fitter:

This role involves the assembly & test of a range of precision Mechanical / Electrical assemblies used in a variety of Aerospace applications. Items are produced in accordance with manufacturing instructions, specifications, and Customer/Regulator Requirements.

· Level 2 Diploma in Aerospace and Aviation Engineering (Foundation Competence)

· Level 2 Diploma in Aerospace and Aviation Engineering (Foundation Knowledge)

· Level 3 Diploma in Aerospace Manufacturing (Development Competence)

· Level 3 Diploma in Aerospace and Aviation (Development Knowledge)

Aerospace Machinist:

This role involves CNC turning of Aerospace Equipment, in accordance manufacturing instructions, Specifications and Customer/Regulator Requirements, working within an empowered team environment to meet delivery requirements.

· Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence)

· Level 2 Diploma in Machining (Foundation Knowledge)

· Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence)

· Level 3 Diploma in Machining (Development Knowledge)

Key requirements:

Applicants should enjoy practical and academic work and have a passion for Engineering, an interest in Aerospace, and the following skills:

· Four GCSE's at Grade 4/C and above or equivalent; must include math's, English, and a Science subject. An interest in aerospace would be advantageous.

· Right to work in the UK

· Ideally hold a full UK driving license, (not essential if you are currently working towards gaining this)
