Team/Role Overview

You will join the EMEA Internal Audit (IA) Compliance team, working closely with IA Compliance team leads, key partners in Citigroup, and the IA product/functional/regional Chief Auditors.

This role will contribute to the scoping and execution of Regulatory ICG Compliance audit coverage in accordance with established IA methodology and professional auditing standards, legal entity governance reporting, and other regulatory compliance audits.

What you'll do

Contribute to the development and execution of a robust Audit Plan
Deliver on time high quality audit reports, Internal Audit and Regulatory issue validation, as well as business monitoring.
Contribute to moderately complex audit activities for a component of a product line, function, or legal entity at the regional or country level including a portion of the audit annual plan.
Develop effective senior line management relationships and has a strong understanding of the businesses
Present reporting findings; recommends appropriate corrective actions where needed. Proposes creative and pragmatic solutions for risk and control issues. Partners with Directors and Managing Directors to develop approaches for addressing broader corporate emerging issues.
Participate in major business initiatives and proactively advises and assists the business on change initiatives.

What we'll need from you

Subject matter expertise regarding Audit and/or Compliance
Effective project management skills
Effective influencing and relationship management skills for interfacing with all levels of internal and external audit and management.
Demonstrates ability to remain unbiased in a diverse working environment
Effective verbal and written communication and negotiation skills; a proactive and 'no surprises' approach in communicating issues and strength in sustaining independent views. You must be an articulate and effective communicator, both orally and in writing, with an energetic, charismatic and approachable style.
