Description
SEN Teacher – Maths£(phone number removed)
Lydbrook
Not your average teaching job
All those reoccurring grumbles and gripes about teaching? Not here
Staying up ridiculously late working evenings and weekends? Not here
Sat in a classroom all day? Not here
Rigid plans stifling creativity? Not here
Focus on outcomes rather than individuals? Not here
Seems a bit too good? ... ok I'll elaborate.
I am partnering with a UK wide group opening a new provision in a picturesque rural setting (with animals on site).
Being an outdoor learning centre, you won't be confined to the classroom and will really take advantage of outdoor learning and the positive impact it will have on the individual students.
You will be working on a near 1:1 basis with different students following the national curriculum for English but adapting and implementing on an individual basis using the knowledge you will have from working so closely with the students.
Teaching is often described as 'making a difference' this couldn't be truer for this provision, you will be encouraged to be the difference, to think autonomously and make sure you are building relationships and ultimately improving their learning and empowering individuals and giving them the best start for post education life.
You will be working alongside a headteacher who is very much still boots on the ground, they muck in (and muck out) with teaching duties and will work with you to give you the best working experience available.
Sounds good, what else?Other than one day a week when you all meet as a team for 30 minutes your working day will truly be finished at 15:30
There are regular social functions and termly awards for staff
Relaxed culture, no strict dress code (raincoat advised)
Open to teachers from both SEN and mainstream backgrounds, it really is about your fit
Offering continuous professional development and will pay for a variety of staff training relating to your career aspirations and interests.
This really isn't your run of the mill opportunity and I encourage a call across to myself (Gareth) here at Thrive to discuss all in more detail
