Hours:
Monday to Thursday 8:30am-5pm and 8:30am

  • 4pm Friday

Salary:
Negotiable based on experience


We are looking for a Workshop Foreman who has a hands-on approach to all tasks with the ability to fault-find and problem solve in a fast-paced reactive environment.

This will be the perfect role for someone with Foreman experience and knowledge of engineering.


Roles and responsibilities:

  • Liasing with the office and coordinating the engineers for the daily jobs
  • Picking parts and organising vehicles for the engineers to get them out on the road on time each day
  • Monitoring engineers productivity against times planned and updating the office and customers accordingly
  • Being the first point of contact for any issues the engineers report
  • Maintaining a safe and tidy workshop at all times
  • Monitoring consumable levels in the workshop and vans and placing orders accordingly
  • When the occasion demands, assist with faults and small installs
  • Monitoring stock levels of materials, maintaining accurate stock records
  • Liaising with management to ensure all relevant quality issues are addressed
  • Have good communication and organisation skills
  • Have a working knowledge of all aspects of workshop equipment, tools and machines
  • Understand the importance of health and safety
Experience in the Motability / Automotive industry would be advantageous, however full training will be provided.
