ROLE PURPOSE
Leep Utilities owns and operates regulated and non-regulated multi-utility networks across the UK.

With sites in MediaCityUK, Liverpool Waters and Canary Wharf, our broad range of capabilities includes electricity, water and wastewater, alongside heating, cooling and hot water services.

We deliver straightforward connections throughout the UK and hold the relevant licenses that allow us to adopt regulated utilities on new developments.

We are looking for an ambitious Finance Business Partner to join our growing Finance team.

The Finance Business Partner will have the ability to complete core transactional work with keen attention to detail, experience of producing accurate and timely management accounts and be a strong communicator to both finance and non-finance teams.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Full ownership of month end process for 3 entities.
  • Ensuring financial transactions are comprehensively reflected in the accounting records via the accurate posting of transactions and completion of month end balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Preparation of month end management accounts files, including variance analysis and commentary on key drivers and exceptional items.
  • Recording and monitoring spend on capital projects ensuring all relevant costs have been capitalised and budgets are closely monitored.
  • Build strong relationships across business areas, working collaboratively to develop and improve crossfunction processes.
  • Play a key role in budgeting and forecasting process defining and gathering inputs in partnership with your key stakeholders.
  • Provide financial analysis and observations to operational teams, driving insight into underlying processes, improving the quality of supporting records and ensuring the accuracy of the output data and financial results.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Ideally have a minimum of 12 year post qualification experience and preferably in a Finance Business Partner role or similar
  • Good financial & commercial acumen

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

  • Ability to independently manage own workload to meet set deadlines
