Ocean Housing has an exciting opportunity for someone who has experience of supporting an organisation to achieve a zero tolerance approach to damp and mould in properties.


The Property Condition and Disrepair Co-ordinator (as it is known internally) will work under the guidance of the Property Services Manager (Assets) to assist in delivering and coordinating the service.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Diagnosing the cause of damp and mould in properties
  • Specifying suitable remediation
  • Ensuring tenants are kept updated throughout the process with jobs being seen through to completion.


You will need experience of carrying out building surveys, EPCs to assist with specifying remedial works and coordinating internal/external contractors ensuring remedial works are completed within required timescales.


You should also:

  • Have a good understanding of current disrepair legislation.
  • Have the ability to manage and prioritise time and tasks effectively, identifying steps needed to accomplish tasks
  • Have good attention to detail and accuracy, seeing tasks through to a high quality finish
  • Have the ability to plan and produce programmes of asset management works
  • Be confident in using MS Office software packages


You will need to be educated to A Level Grade A-C or equivalent Level 3 qualification and you must have a HNC in Building Construction or equivalent and a qualification in domestic energy assessor.
