Head of API Platforms / Development - Edinburgh - New

Please note - 2 days a week in Edinburgh

A market leading organisation - recognised as the leader in its field - requires a Head of API Platforms / Development to own and shape its future API strategy.

Suitable candidates will have the following:
Strong technical background in API architecture, cloud technologies, and digital transformation.
Substantial experience in leading software engineering teams within API development and management.
Experience in leading the broad development of API capabilities (e.g., design, standards, governance) across an engineering organisation
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align various interests and requirements.
Experience in setting up and managing scalable and resilient platforms.
In-depth knowledge of SDLC, API strategies, and governance practices.
Experience in Financial service, preferred but not essential
Exceptional leadership and team-management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
