Description

We are a 61 bed long-stay forensic mental health facility and we have 21 staff in the housekeeping department who are all dedicated to their role so we are looking for like-minded staff to complement our team.

This is a fairly physical job where staff provide a housekeeping service at the Caswell Clinic.

This will include cooking for patients on a ward using a cook-freeze catering system and the provision of a domestic service for that a ward.

We have two vacancies of 20 hours a week and one for a 16 hour a week post.

The role consists of 5 shifts per week, 4 hours a day (this will include weekend working on a rota basis), either 9.30am-1.30 pm or 1.30 pm-5.30 pm with a long weekend every 3rd week.

The post is based at our purpose built Medium Secure Forensic Mental Health Unit in the grounds of Glanrhyd Hospital and requires the post holder to provide a housekeeping service within the 5 warded unit.

This is a dual role and housekeeping staff are required to cook and serve meals to patients and provide a domestic service within their designated area.

Previous catering and cleaning experience is preferred although full training will be provided. There is very limited public transport to the Hospital so the ability to travel between sites in a timely
manner is essential to meet the shift pattern requirements.

We seek staff who can be flexible with their hours to ensure that we are able to cover for annual leave and sickness absence.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
