    Test Manager

    Location : Hybrid - 2-3 days in Reading (Berkshire, UK) office

    Salary : £55,000 - £65,000 per annum + benefits

    Role Description

    This is a full-time role as a Test Manager at Zanoo Consulting. As a Test Manager, you will define, implement and manage the functional and non-functional test stages across client projects. This will include the testing governance framework and manage quality gates between the test stages to ensure exit and entry criteria are met. You will manage the Zanoo test team and work closely with client stakeholders. Your role will also involve working closely with the Zanoo leadership team to continuously evaluate testing processes, tools and methodologies to identify opportunities for optimisation and improvement.

    Key Responsibilities of the role:

    • Lead and manage the testing team to ensure the delivery of high-quality testing.
    • Implement and manage the testing governance framework and approach.
    • Develop a comprehensive test strategy for client projects that align with the overall objectives and goals of the project.
    • Plan the test activities for the project, including defining test objectives, scope, schedule, resources and risks.
    • Oversee the design and execution of test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios to validate the functionality, performance, and reliability of the systems.
    • Identify opportunities for test automation and work with Zanoo Consulting automation engineers to improve efficiency and coverage.
    • Co-ordinate with client stakeholders, project members, end-users and suppliers to communicate testing progress, issues and results effectively.
    • Be responsible for the defect management process across projects.
    • Monitor and analyse testing metrics and KPIs to assess the effectiveness of testing efforts and identify areas for improvement.
    • Provide guidance to the Zanoo test team to help enhance their skills and capabilities.
    • Ensure that testing activities adhere to relevant regulatory and compliance requirements

    Essential experience and skills required:

    • A deep understanding of testing methodologies, such as unit testing, integration testing, system testing, regression testing, and acceptance testing.
    • Experience in creating comprehensive test strategies and test plans tailored to the specific needs of the project.
    • Strong project management skills to coordinate testing activities within a project. This includes resource allocation, scheduling, risk management and issue tracking.
    • Leading and managing test teams to inspire and motivate team members to ensure high-quality deliverables.
    • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with client stakeholders and the Zanoo leadership team.
    • Experience in adapting to changing requirements, priorities and timelines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment; demonstrates flexibility to adjust testing strategies and approaches as needed.
    • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure thorough test coverage and accurate reporting; review test cases, documentation and requirements with precision.
    • A customer-centric mindset focused on delivery high quality products that meeting or exceed client expectations.
