Your next employer is looking for a committed and creative NPI Test Development Engineer to join their growing team based near Shrivenham

As an NPI Test Development Engineer you will engage with all aspects of automated production test development, from SW module coding and test sequencing, through to physical jig design and fabrication.

With a focus on delivery of new test capability to themanufacturing environment, you will work closely with our engineering team during product development to understand and influence design decisions and ensure a smooth transition into the manufacturing environment.

NPI Test Development Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:

Design and delivery of automated manufacturing test facilities for new product developments
Generation of controlled documentation for test procedures, configurations, and code
Production and maintenance of test fixtures and test equipment
Enhancement of existing manufacturing facilities to optimise effectiveness of test process flow
Conducting statistical evaluation and trend analysis of test results to guide process improvement
Advising product development engineers on design for testability features of new products
Attending and influencing new product design reviews
Developing and introducing new testing methodologies for as new product families come online
Supporting system acceptance testing prior to delivery of larger communication systems

The Ideal NPI Test Development Engineer Will Have:

Honours degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline
Experience of testing electronics subsystems in a manufacturing environment
Skills in test code development and sequencing with scripting tools e.g., LabVIEW, Teststand
Strong written and oral communications skills
Experience developing automated test rigs for RF circuits and optical telecommunications systems
Understanding of software and firmware version control and release management
Experience with engineering quality management processes
