Description
Are you a passionate and dedicated Science teacher with a deep understanding of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges?
Our inspiring SEMH School in Blandford Forum is a supportive environment where every student is given the opportunity to thrive. They cater for students aged 11 – 16, with social, emotional and mental health needs. Their goal is to provide a holistic approach to education, focusing on the individual needs of each student to help them achieve their full potential, through a restorative approach to behaviour.
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Science Teacher who can deliver tailored and engaging lessons to students across KS3 and KS4. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with students who have SEMH needs and an understanding of trauma, attachment and mental health needs.
As an SEMH Science Teacher, you should be adept at creating a safe, inclusive, engaging and supportive classroom environment where all students are inspired and motivated to obtain meaningful outcomes, raise achievement levels and improve self-esteem. You will engage students with exciting lessons, fostering their abilities and contributing to their academic development within a calm, fun and purposeful environment.
Due to the nature of our School, there be a need to develop and deliver PSHE also.
This is a great opportunity for a passionate Science Teacher to support and challenge SEMH students, encouraging them to go beyond their personal limitations and self-beliefs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
