About the role:
Client focused and quality driven, we are a leading provider of Ground Investigation to the Infrastructure sector. We now need a Field Technician to help deliver our service to the London and Southern region.

General Responsibilities / Specific Duties:
Assist in undertaking ground investigation, such as using dynamic sampling competitor rig.
Undertake other general labouring duties e.g. erecting and repairing fences, breaking out of hard standing, general reinstatement of tarmac/concrete/minor brickwork/reinforced concrete/block paving and cobbles/grass or landscaped areas, helping to mobiliseequipment to sites with difficult access, delivery of consumables to site, collection of samples from site and tidying stores where required, driving forklift on site
Undertake shallow and deep hand excavated trial pits.
Use of handheld window sampling equipment and dynamic probing rig.
Understand specific testing instructions, Keep accurate, legible records of tests carried out
Ensuring maintenance and appearance of works vehicle is kept to a high standard

Have a minimum level of fitness required to undertake all site based tasks listed above on a variety of sites including active construction sites and linear projects for road and railways.

Acting as technician on large sites, preparing core boxes for photographs, taking and preparing core sub samples and assisting the logging engineers.

Occasional delivery / collection of consumables, samples and equipment to and from site in and around the London area.

About you:

We're looking for a professional, dynamic and motivated individual with ability to work alone and as part of a team.

Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Good health, mobility, flexibility and commitment.
No prior experience required.
Awareness and ability to implement Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
Full UK driving licence
CSCS card an advantage
