As part of this role, you will also provide cover when necessary for the Support Coordinator responsible for safeguarding.

Working on projects to help drive forward service improvements and development, including consultation with service users, support providers and advocates.

Monitoring performance indicators and review systems to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with agreements, targets, financial agreements and regulatory standards.

Communicate regularly with all relevant staff and partners to ensure a joined up, effective approach to fulfil the purpose of your role.

Arranging, leading and participating in meetings and activities to ensure communication and effective resolution of problems which may arise in relation to service users and the wider community.

Work as part of a team to ensure effective provision of all services, providing a flexible and responsive approach.

Be responsible for maintaining all records and data relevant to this role.

Making decisions independently and on a daily basis

Dealing with and solving problems

You will also be responsible for learning the safeguarding procedures used within Gentoo, ensuring you have sufficient knowledge to make referrals and keep safeguarding records up to date when cover is needed when the safeguarding officer is on leave, sick or there is a need for extra resource when demand is high.

Training will be provided and you will be responsible for keeping this learning up to date.
