- Being responsible for developing the curriculum and ensuring Academy wide curriculum aims are met;
- Monitoring data, progress and attainment for all students;
- Managing all aspects of the faculty, including line management, professional development and maintaining the ethos of teamwork and collaboration that the faculty has at its heart.
- Undertake the duties of a form tutor;
- Line manage Assistant Curriculum Leaders within the English team. The English department are take pride in regularly updating their knowledge and skills; units are regularly reviewed and updated to reflect the world we live in. The Faculty aims to teach our students to be confident, questioning and independent learners; to be able to make connections between English and their other subjects and English in context in the world outside. We have a thriving sixth form, which includes an English Literature group, it is our aspiration to also introduce Media Studies. The Academy have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and inspirational leader who has extension experience in teaching English at Key Stage 3, 4 and 5.
