Purpose of the Role:


As a Skilled Mechanic you will be responsible for:

  • You will be responsible for assembling, fitting, and installing engine components and structures in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and safety regulations.
  • The Skilled Mechanic will raise nonconformance issues.
  • Working to set deadlines to achieve performance targets and customer delivery commitments.
  • Working in a compliant manner to ensure that products are built and fitted to the correct technical and quality specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times.
  • Participating in continual review and improvement processes for the business to identify best practice.
  • Perform inspections and quality checks at various stages of assembly to verify compliance with engineering specifications and safety standards.
  • You will have completed a recognised relevant mechanical timeserved modern or advanced apprenticeship OR have a 3 year apprenticeship with an additional Level 3 Technical Certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • We will also accept equivalent qualifications gained through service within the Armed Forces providing they meet the requirement.
  • Must be able to provide all certifications before interview.
