My client is part of a larger, London based multi academy trust.A vacancy has arisen for a Finance Business Partner to work in close proximately with the Head and SLT of the schools, to provide insightful budget monitoring and planning service.
The main duties will include the preparation and management of ongoing school budgets, to include cyclical reporting and variance analysis on short and medium term financial plans.
You'll also ensure that school remains financially compliant with all internal procedures, providing advice and guidance to senior staff and budget holders on all finance matters.
Working closely with the Head of school, you'll act as a genuine business partner, helping to guide on the course of action for ad hoc projects as well as on procurement and ensuring value for money on all spend.
At a trust level, you'll support the ongoing monthly accounting, to include accruals and prepayments, bank reconciliations and the production of both standalone and group level financial KPI reports.
Applications are sought from formally qualified or part qualified accountants, with previous experience of commercial finance and / or business partnering across a sizeable organisation.
Education sector experience would be a huge benefit, but those with experience from other multi site commercial sectors are welcomed.
Naturally, you'll possess good influencing and communication skills, with good data manipulation and excel reporting experience. The role is offered as 4 days on site and one day working from home.
