Role Overview

This is probably the most unusual role you'll ever see advertised but, for the right person, you'll absolutely love it We at G Force Martial Arts are excited to be recruiting our new friendly face role in your area and are looking for YOU to join us.

Here's what you'll be doing:

Speaking on the phone with people who have booked onto their free trials to welcome them the day before they visit us for the first time (people are often nervous about visiting a martial arts school).
Welcoming all our visitors and members into the hall when they arrive and signing them into the electronic register at reception.
Chatting with parents whilst their children are in their classes. Sometimes answering their questions etc.
Assisting our martial arts instructor in showing our 412 year olds the basics of martial arts (don't worry, you don't need any martial arts experience yourself, you'll just be assisting not teaching).
Helping students and parents to sign up as members if they've enjoyed their free trials.
Giving out uniform to students who have ordered it

As you can see, it is a wide ranging role that revolves around one basic principle - we love people and want everyone who trains with us to have an AMAZING time.

Alternative names for this role are 'customer experience manager' and 'world class receptionist' but really you just need a FRIENDLY FACE You will be an integral part of our customer journey and so if this excites you then we'd love for you to apply

Our culture
We are passionate about helping people to better themselves. Our mission statement 'Developing Champions for Life' sums this up. G Force has been teaching people aged 4yrs to 74yrs martial arts for the last 20 years. Our different programmes have been enjoyed by thousands of students, many of whom progress to become part of the G Force team

We are now seeking a friendly face who can help bring martial arts to everyone.

Our lessons and culture have been developed over 20 years by G Force founder Sensei Gordon Burcham (4 times World Kickboxing champion) who still today oversees his 600 student martial arts school in Rugby.

The detail

You'll need to be at our classes twice a week from 4pm 9pm
You'll be making a few phone calls a day (56 days a week) to people who have booked on for their first visit to the school, just to say hi, check they know where they're going etc.
You'll be provided with a work mobile phone to make the calls, send texts and WhatsApp messages to students
You will LOVE people, chatting to them, meeting them for the first time, you are energised by social interaction
You enjoy learning new things and improving.
You are an excellent communicator.
You want to be a part of one of the fastest growing martial arts franchises in the country.
You are excellent at following processes.
You are highly professional and positive in your thoughts, words, actions, and appearance.
You are extremely organised and efficient and deliver even under pressure.
You learn from your mistakes, and continually acquire new skills and ways of improving what you do.

You must be available from 4 pm - 9 pm on two evenings per week (we arrange cover for you when you are ill or on holiday).

There is the opportunity to, in the future, work at more than one of our martial arts schools.

All first interviews will be held in the evening on: TBC

Initial interviews will be held online via Zoom. Applications who are selected to progress will be invited to an in-person interview.
