    About IVC Evidensia IVC Evidensia was founded in 2017 when the British group Independent Vetcare joined forces with Evidensia, a reputed veterinary group already well established across Northern Europe. Today IVC Evidensia operates under the name Evidensia in the Nordics, The Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Switzerland and North America (all countries outside of UK). Information about the role: Procurement is a key value creation driver with strong influence at executive and board level. IVC Evidensia is now looking to further strengthen the team with a new Head of Direct Procurement. Reporting straight to the Group Procurement Director, responsible for approximately £500m GBP per annum of direct spend, this is an exciting an influential role, with the potential to deliver huge value to the business, with excellent development opportunities for the right candidate. The primary focus of the role is to increase the value delivered through strategic procurement and category management across the group clinical spend (example pharma, nutrition and diagnostics). Additionally, the role will drive and continue to develop procurement capability and build the procurement ways of working and community. Naturally, the role will lead supplier relationship management activities and identify groupwide sourcing initiatives to make supplier agreements available to the entire group. This includes negotiating and setting up new supplier agreements in markets. Furthermore, the role is a support to the growth strategy and the development of their own label development. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and external partners to develop sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts, and optimize the supply chain to deliver sustainable business results. What are we looking for? Our Procurement team benefits from a diverse colleague group, combining experience in the Veterinary sector, Procurement specialists and other Commercial professionals.     • Veterinary professionals with a commercial background looking to develop their skills;
    • Procurement professional with strong knowledge of the veterinary industry from either the veterinary industry, pharmaceutical or wholesaler
    • Procurement professional with parallel industry experience, such as human pharmaceuticals

    Whatever their background, the ideal candidate will bring commercial acumen, along with proven leadership ability and the capability to build and nurture strong relationships with multiple stakeholders. Key Areas of Responsibilities

    Background and experience

    • Bachelor's degree in veterinary medicine, pharmaceutical sciences, supply chain management or a related field.
    • Experience in procurement or supply chain management
    • Proven track record of strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimisation in a pharmaceutical or life sciences environment.
    • Strong negotiation skills, analytical abilities, and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and levels of the organization.
    • Strong commercial and analytical mindset, ability to work strategically but also hands-on when needed
    • Strong communication skills
    • Can-do spirit with ability to work in a global, fast-moving business (Private Equity backed)
    • Experience from working in an international company, with direct team members / stakeholders located in multiple geographies
    • Comfortable to work in a highly dynamic and entrepreneurial environment (processes are often not established and/or immature)
    • The role will require both hands on - (negotiations, supplier management) as well as strategic/long-term approach (organisation, processes and systems)
    • Proven track record in creating result
    • Able to lead and develop a team consisting of different profiles (procurement professionals as well as veterinarians/clinicians)
