Engineering Workshop ManagerSalary: £50,000 per annumHours: Monday to Friday DaysLocation: Preston A great opportunity has for an Engineering Workshop Manager has come up for a client of mine in the Preston area.

My client, a large transport company with a sizable depot in the Preston area are looking to recruit a skilled Engineering Workshop Manager on a full time basis.

The Engineering Workshop Manager will be reporting directly to the Engineering Manager and the role primarily focuses on:

Work with the Training function to ensure that engineering teams are competently trainedManage the Depot Maintenance, Cleaning and Servicing teamsHealth, Safety and Environmental responsibilityConduct any disciplinary, grievance or absence management reviews in accordance with Company policyEnsure a comprehensive hand over and coordination across shifts.

The successful Engineering Workshop Manager must have the following skills and experience:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong Engineering backgroundKnowledge of employment, safety, and Environmental legislation. a professional qualification would be desirable or equivalent company recognised qualification.

The role will require the successful candidate to attend regular face to face review meetings, so a professional manner, can-do attitude and good communication skills are a must.
