    THE ROLE

    The Warehouse Manager will work with the General Manager alongside Marketing and Commercial teams to achieve the objectives set with the business owners. As Warehouse Manager you will be the custodian of our entire site in Glenrothes. You will manage all operations at the warehouse, leading and developing the team and instil a continuous improvement ethos. Health & Safety will be a primary focus whilst keeping a detailed control over all our current stock, deliveries and dispatches also ensuring all movement is correctly registered with HMRC in a timely manner.

    Key responsibilities.

    • Management of the warehouse team of operators and administrators. Create weekly and longer-term planning documents for the site and work with team to carry out all required tasks and to meet the company's growth ambition.
    • Pro-actively contribute to the growth of the company through positive contributions, improving ways of working and system developments.
    • Ensure Health and Safety on site is a primary focus for all staff and visitors. Manage the processes around daily, weekly and other check and ensure required administration is in place. This includes responsibility for all Risk assessments and SOP and maintaining relationship with local Government representatives.
    • Attend regular meetings with business owners and management team to create strategic plans for growth and development for the business.
    • Responsible for maintaining detailed and accurate records of all stock in the warehouse, and related reporting to HMRC to enable Duty payments through W1 and W5.
    • Manage logistics processes, lead, and control production of required export documentation.
    • Manage a suitable level of stock checks to ensure stocks are accounted for at all times and required levels of stock are available to carry out business requirements.
    • Plan and organise all tasks at the warehouse, including Receiving of goods, Cask, dry goods and finished goods storage, Re-gauge, Re-rack, sample drawing, Bottling, Pick, pack and dispatch of orders, UK and international.
    • Full Site Management ensuring all areas of the warehouse are in good repair and maintained at a high standard of cleanliness. This includes areas open to visitors and clients, which require a high level of attention to detail.
    • Manage all training and development plans for the warehouse team, ensuring frequent one to one meetings take place and that an ethos of growth exists on all levels of the organisation.

    Experience

    • 3-5 years' experience working as a warehouse manager.
    • Experience working in whisky industry
    • Proven track record of creating improvement strategies in a warehouse environment.
    • Be able to work with external partners, agencies, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered and legislative compliance is fully achieved.
    • Knowledge of Rules & Regulations surrounding HMRC and H&S compliance
    • To be able to understand and analyse data and reports from systems to improve systems and work patterns, optimizing efficiencies.
