    Business Development Manager - Majors

    Location: Covering our North East Region which includes South Shields, Middlesbrough and Redcar.

    Competitive salary with excellent OTE and company car/car allowance.

    The Major Account Business Development Manager is responsible for 100% new, Major Account business development in the North East of England and will be part of a very successful senior sales team. Major accounts have a value a value of £100,000 up to £1million and the role will involve Bids/tenders, project management and 9-12 month sales cycles.

    Day to day some of the activities will include:

  • Managing senior stakeholders to take them on a journey to your solution.
  • Working to tight and conflicting tender deadlines.
  • Self-generation and pipeline development of new business Major Accounts comprising of opportunity values up to £ per annum.
  • Providing expert guidance and consultation to customers in the design, development, and implementation of sustainable, commercially and operationally viable waste management solutions.
  • Creation and delivery of customer centric solution presentations.
  • Here's what we require.

  • Strong Field sales experience.
  • Experience in selling B2B solutions and/or services-based contracts.
  • Experience in responding and leading on details tender submissions.
  • Successful track record in securing contracts with annual revenues over £100,000.
  • Background of working in close collaboration with multiple internal stakeholder groups to develop solutions/proposals.
  • Knowledge and experience of a consultative approach to new business proposals.
