Description

A City based insurer seeks a Treaty Reinsurance Claims Adjuster, to be responsible for handling claims from first advice to settlement, including the instruction of surveyors/adjusters &/or lawyers. You will have a minimum of 3 years Treaty Reinsurance Claims experience.

Responsible for determining coverage, setting reserves and settlement of claims in the role of Claims Agreement Party for various classes of business, predominantly Property Treaty.

Liaising with co-insuring Syndicates, companies and claims bureau on large or contentious claims (including issuing market circulars) . Assigning, managing, controlling and liaising with relevant service providers during the life of a claim (including lawyers, loss adjusters, third party administrators)

Maintaining files for all lead and Claims Agreement Party claims ensuring that electronic claims records accurately reflect the current positions. Ensure systems and procedures are up to date, are compliant with Lloyd's and FCA regulations. Building and maintaining relationships with brokers, adjusters, agents, coverholders, TPA's etc.

Working closely with Reinsurance and Underwriting departments on policy matters, monitoring classes of business and claim activities. Prepare and analysis of monthly/quarterly reports
