- Warren Court: (This post) a medium secure inpatient unit with 30 beds for men with Intellectual Disabilities who are considered a risk of doing serious harm to others.
- 4 Bowlers Green: a low secure unit with 9 beds for men who are considered a significant risk of doing harm to others
- To provide psychiatric care to the Warren Court and to undertake the administrative duties associated with the care of the care of the patients on the wards.
- To undertake the medicolegal duties as advised by the Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist, including report writing and providing evidence at the renewal and tribunal hearings if needed.
- To record clinical activity accurately and comprehensively and submit this promptly to the Information Department.
- To participate annually in a job plan review with the line manager, which will include consultation with a relevant manager to ensure that the post is developed to take into account changes in service configuration and delivery associated with modernisation.
- To work with local managers and professional colleagues in ensuring the efficient running of services and share with consultant colleagues in the medical contribution to management.
- To comply with the Trust's agreed policies, procedures, standing orders and financial instructions, and to take an active role in the financial management of the service and support the medical director and other managers in preparing plans for services.

- To undertake assessments, report writing and participate in multidisciplinary case discussions.
- To liaise effectively with primary care and mainstream mental health services.
- To have regular clinical supervision with the consultant forensic psychiatrist. It is the post holders responsibility to ensure that this is booked. Person Specification
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
- MRCPsych OR MRCPsych equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
- In good standing with GMC with respect to warning and conditions on practice.
- Section 12/Approved clinician approval.
- A minimum of 4 years' full time post graduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time of flexible basis) at least two years of which to be within a psychiatry training programme or as fixed term Specialty Trainee within psychiatry o; or have equivalent experience and competencies.
- Minimum of 6 months experience within forensic psychiatry.
- Ability to work well in multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent clinical skills using bio-psychosocial perspective and wide medical knowledge.
- Clinical experience in a range of services within Psychiatry.
- Excellent degree of medical knowledge in relation to Learning Disability and Forensic.
- Ability to demonstrate clinical problem solving in interdisciplinary areas
- Possession of good organisational skills
- Be able to actively listen and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Holds a full valid driving license and access to a car (Unless you have a disability as defined by the Disability Discrimination Act 1995).
- Has actively participated in clinical audit.

Beech Ward
Beech Ward is a 15-bed low secure service for men with mental illnesses and personality disorders who are at significant risk of doing harm to others. The service offers specialist psychological, psychiatric and behavioural therapies.
Offending Behaviours Intervention Service
OBIS are a community-based multi-professional forensic team for people with intellectual disability and/or autism. The team helps people to overcome problematic behaviour that might lead to conviction and also supports people who have been in secure care to leave hospital sooner.
Hertfordshire Community Forensic Team
The Hertfordshire CFT is a multi-professional hybrid community forensic service that supports people with mental disorders, living in Hertfordshire, who are at risk of, or who have committed, a serious offence, to stay well and safe in the community.

Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (HPFT) is an exceptional organisation with big ambitions, our aim it to be the leading provider of mental health and specialist learning disabilities within the UK.
In recent years the Trust has been successful in acquiring the tender for the provision of specialist Learning disability services in Norfolk, North Essex and Buckinghamshire.
