An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time SHO to join the Breast Team at University College London Hospitals.

The post holder will be based in the Oncoplastic Breast Surgery Unit in the state-of-the-art integrated outpatient service at the MacMillan Cancer Centre.

This role is an integral part of the team. They spend time on the ward supporting the Consultants and registrars during the working week.

They are also present in theatres to provide assistance to our consultant team and are given opportunity to learn operating techniques and skills.


This post is available immediately and is permanent position, aimed at providing service provision as well as training opportunities to further the post-holder skills in the diagnosis and management of breast disease as well as oncoplastic breast surgery.


The post-holder will work closely under the direction of the breast surgery Consultants and Senior Registrars with duties to include day-to-day inpatient care, ward rounds, attending outpatient clinics and assisting the consultants in theatre.

The post holder will be encouraged to participate in professional
development activities and clinical governance programmes including audit.
