Amnis are pleased to be working with a good and popular high school academy in the Wigan area. We are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to support students with a range of SEN, including SEMH, ASD, ADHD. You will support with their social, emotional, and mental health needs, as well as their learning experience. You will support students across the school, with mixed abilities and needs, in various year groups.

This is an excellent long-term opportunity to work in a supportive, friendly and professional working environment. You will be made to feel welcome and join a dynamic team of teaching professionals. The job is full time to start as soon as possible. The working hours are 8:30 - 3:30, Monday - Friday, term-time only.

Role of the Teaching Assistant

• Starting as soon as possible.
• Full-time, 8:30 - 3:30, Monday-Friday, term-time only.
• Support children & teacher in classroom setting.
• Intervention with small groups and 1:1.
• Support children with SEMH, ASD, ADHD and other learning needs or difficulties.
• Long-term temporary initially, could lead on to a contract for the right person.

Ideal Teaching Assistant

• Previous experience of working with children and/or young people.
• Knowledge or experience of SEND.
• Good at building relationships.
• Team player with strong communication skills.
• Patience and understanding.
• An enhanced DBS check will need to be obtained before starting.
