The role of the Manufacturing Manager is to proactively lead and manage the Filling and Supply Manager's to successfully deliver all performance criteria in Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery & People (SQCDP)for Manufacturing.
Leading a culture of Continuous Improvement to enable incremental and sustained YoY performance improvements throughout Manufacturing. A key member of the Site Senior Management Team, the Manufacturing Manager will deputise for the PlantManager.The business values a collaborative approach, therefore this role requires the ability to develop a culture of Operational Excellence, and encouraging all team members to influence and drive improvements.

Key responsibilities:
- Safety effectively lead the Filling and Supply Manager's to adopt a proactive approach to Safety to consistently deliver the Manufacturing Safety KPI's in line with expectations.
- Quality aspiring to have 'Zero Loss', engage with the Filling and Supply Manager's in a proactive approach to successfully deliver the Manufacturing Quality KPI's.
- Cost in conjunction with the Filling and Supply Manager's develop and deliver stretching budgets for Manufacturing. Ensuring the effective deployment of Continuous Improvement (eg
- Lean Tools & Techniques) to drive YoY improvements in OEE, Direct LabourVariances, Waste and Overheads. To identify effective capital expenditure opportunities in Manufacturing and to execute these on time and within budget.
- Delivery working with the Filling and Supply Manager's, ensure Filling & Blow Moulding achieve their Conformance to Plan targets to underpin excellent Customer Service to customers whilst keeping stock levels as low as is practicable.
- People using a coaching approach ensure that the Filling and Supply Manager's deploy effective communication, appraisal, training, succession planning, absence management etc... processes in Manufacturing.
- Deputy Plant Manager be able to competently deputise for the Plant Manager both internally (site, other sites and divisional functions) and externally to McBride.
Applicants will need to demonstrate the following experience:
- Extensive FMCG experience, including direct labour budget management and cost improvement
- Experience driving CI and operational excellence
- Proven experience delivering OPEX and LEAN initiatives
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence succession planning
