Granville Academy joined The de Ferrers Trust in 2017. We are a Multi Academy Trust currently based in Staffordshire and Derbyshire. We consist of 3 Secondary Academies and 4 Primary Academies.

Here, at Granville Academy, we are on a truly exciting journey of improving standards and outcomes in our pursuit of excellence.

We are already seeing results with good behaviour recognised in our recent Ofsted report.

Good behaviour provides the foundations for high quality teaching and learning to thrive. It allows teachers to focus on their craft and to teach well.

High quality teaching is sacrosanct and is the absolute focus of our next chapter ensuring that great teaching impacts positively on the outcomes of all within our care.

High quality student support that enables, accelerates and complements this provision is pivotal so that students with SEND achieve their potential, thrive and progress academically, personally and holistically in a supportive safe environment.

Our visitors tell us that our academy offers them a warm welcome with a calm atmosphere conducive to high quality teaching and learning.

We are a passionate and committed group of staff who support each other to be the best that we can be.

Our vision is to ensure that all the children and young people in our care have the opportunity to fulfil their potential through achieving highly, regardless of their ability or background.

We commit to ensuring that every child is known, valued and nurtured.

We are truly an inclusive school who recognise and support diversity through a commitment to promoting tolerance, respect and kindness in all that we do.

The academy benefits from a newly renovated personalised learning centre that students are proud of. It contains a purpose built sensory room and has been zoned to provide break out spaces.

Our new internal alternative provision is under development and there is a clear vision for ensuring that students with SEND are supported, and importantly, feel well supported.

The team is led by an experienced SENDco with an excellent body of staff. CPD is ongoing with opportunities for growth and development. We are an outward looking academy, keen to be at the forefront, keen to engage with external agencies.

Why not take a look at our recent video to give you a flavour of who we are and what we strive to achieve:

At Granville Academy we believe in working hard, being kind and choosing wisely.

We are privileged to work in a community where we have a positive impact on children's lives and their futures every day.

We are looking for an enthusiastic highly skilled and motivated practitioner to join the team to provide high quality teaching and learning support both within the classroom supporting the teacher, in our designated personalised learning centre and in our internal alternative provision "The Bridge" for children with identified SEND.

The role will require you to provide guidance and support for colleagues.

You will model best practice, lead the team in the development of resources, proactively communicate with key stakeholders and demonstrate the ability to use your initiative and work independently on given tasks.

You will be able to support the promotion of excellent standards of learning, achievement, progress, attainment and behaviour by working effectively and collaboratively within your department and across the areas forementioned.

You will be passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people.
