    Job Description:

    As an Automation Development Engineer at MasterMover, you will be an integral part of our engineering team, responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated guided vehicles to enhance our electric tug technology. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities, improve existing processes, and contribute to the development of new and innovative products.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Automation System Design: Develop and design automated guided vehicles that optimise the performance of MasterMover's electric tug technology.
    2. Installation and Support: Install, set up and maintain automated guided vehicles at customer sites, working closely with the customer to meet requirements, and adhering to safety standards.
    3. Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and software engineering teams to integrate automation seamlessly into our products.
    4. Prototyping and Testing: Build and test prototypes to validate automation concepts, ensuring they meet performance, reliability, and safety standards.
    5. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and cost reduction through the application of automation.
    6. Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for all automated guided vehicle designs, ensuring clear communication and knowledge transfer within the team.
    7. Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain rigorous testing and quality control processes for automated guided vehicles.

    Qualifications:

    1. Proven experience with the design, development and implementation of automated guided vehicles.
    2. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
    3. Strong programming skills with proficiency in languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
    4. Familiarity with motor controllers, PLC programming and HMI development.
    5. Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, CAN, Ethernet/IP).
    6. Solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
    7. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    8. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
