    As a Lead Paint Technician, you will play a crucial role in our automotive repair process, ensuring that vehicles are restored to their pre-accident condition with precision and excellence. Working closely with the workshop controller, you will lead a team of technicians, overseeing the paint department operations from start to finish.

    Responsibilities:

  • ​Lead and supervise a team of paint technicians, providing guidance and support throughout the repair process.
  • ​Perform high-quality paint repairs, including color matching, blending, and finishing, to restore vehicles to factory specifications.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, masking, and priming as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring that equipment and tools are properly maintained and used safely.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, management, and customers to ensure clear understanding of repair needs and expectations.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
  • About You

  • You will have previous experience in automotive painting and refinishing, with the ability to positively lead a team
  • ​Proficiency in color matching and mixing, using computerized paint mixing systems if applicable.
  • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship, with the ability to produce high-quality paint finishes.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve their best.
  • Knowledge of automotive repair processes and industry best practices.
  • Certification in ATA/NVQ highly desirable
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
