    Our client is a busy courier company that are seeking a Business Development Manager who has worked in the courier industry and who has worked in a smaller firm rather than a large corporate company.

    You will need to be knowledgeable of the full process and not just elements. You will have a full understanding of the courier industry and how it works end to end.

    You will be responsible for identifying and developing new strategic opportunities in ecommerce parcel and cross border logistics with particular focus on Asia, India and Australia.

    You will be involved with active social media engagement and share to your international network as well as assist in building brand awareness of the company.

    You will work with Head office on social media initiatives to drive best practice. You will have know how within the ecommerce/courier/exports international business.

    The role will also involve ongoing habitual reaching out to new opportunities and you will be at ease in positioning the company portfolio of services.

    The successful candidate will be able to build a strong understanding of the core company network and service scop and cultivate brand new relationships within new prospects and turn raw concepts into compelling business opportunities for both parties.

    You will manage customer relationships beyond implementation with periodic business meetings to build strong and strategic partnerships.
    You will negotiate commercial terms and conditions with new and existing customers.

    You will also work closely with the General Manager in rolling out the UK strategy - supporting in building of case studies, decks, social media posts and customer promotions.

    You will assist in educating the company UK teams on ecommerce/sales and market intel with a view to ensuring the team from the ground up have a strong commercial sense of involvement in the company business model.

    You will be happy to attend trade shows and events and continue to grow and develop your network - both providers, partners to facilitate an end to end business solution and allow cross selling, to engage with group businesses to encourage natural collaboration.

    You will constantly learn and curious about market trends and adoptions in the consumer market and be in touch and ahead of market changes.

    This role could suit an Account Manager/Sales Manager with experience in the courier industry.
    £ P.A. (negotiable) + £300 car allowance and mileage paid as per the government calculator
