A Technical Support Co-Ordinator role is required to support off-aircraft maintenance support at the UK Apache Operational Conversion Unit (OCU).
Duties:
- Exercising leadership, management, oversight and accountability for individual, or groups of, maintenance tasks within the Operational Conversion Unit (OCU).
- Assuming responsibility for safety, quality, integrity, FOD prevention and tool control/accountability during the assigned task or shift.
- Leadership, management, accountability and oversight for assigned personnel.
- Acting as the link between Supervisors and Technicians and Production Control/managers.
- Training, development and mentoring of assigned personnel.
- Undertaking maintenance signature ('sign off') responsibilities in accordance with assigned Authorizations.
- Undertaking such secondary duties and tasks as may be allocated.
- Conducting other tasks and activities that may be allocated from time to time.
- A good communicator, with a demonstrable ability to communicate the organizational, management and technical work requirements to their team/s and to the customer to ensure it is understood, in order that key operational targets are met.
- Capable of providing leadership to their team/s, in order to maintain a scheduled plan, the sequencing and control of demanding workloads, for on time completion, to budget and to the required standard
- Capable of understanding and interpreting Technical Documents, Technical Drawings and/or associated Authorized Technical Publications (ATP's), to provide guidance to their team/s if necessary
- Demonstrable and proven leadership, capable of adopting appropriate leadership skills/ styles for effective management of their team/s.
Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will be part of a small multi-disciplinary Off-Aircraft Support Team of other technicians undertaking technical and maintenance tasks that directly support on-aircraft maintenance at the Apache AH-64E Operational Conversion Unit (OCU).
In addition, the individual will both reinforce, and assist teams conducting on-aircraft maintenance when demand is high, as directed by the On-Aircraft Operations Manager.
This role is likely to have responsibility for the impartial conduct of Quality and Assurance procedures and tasks on behalf of the Operations Management team.
Given the wide scope of potential duties and tasks, this role requires an experienced individual familiar with both the Apache AH Mk1 and with the processes and regulations currently used in UK military aviation support.
Required Experience:
- This role requires experience of, and full familiarity with, the Apache AH Mk1 in UK service.
- Experience in a UK military air environment (MAE)
Preferred Qualifications:
- A technical or vocational qualification at UK NQF Level 3 or higher
Work Authorization:
Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
Security Clearance:
This position requires the ability to obtain a UK security clearance (SC) for which UK residency is required. All information will be checked and verified.
