    Description

    We are currently recruiting a dedicated and flexible Community Registered Nurse to join our team, providing essential care within the Emergency Medical Unit (EMU). As a Band 5/6 Community Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care during varying shifts, including weekends and bank holidays. Full time position, Part time hours will be considered.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assess and provide treatment and care to patients attending the Emergency Medical Unit (EMU), ensuring adherence to established protocols and guidelines.
    • Support registered clinical colleagues and mentor unregistered clinical staff, fostering their professional development and promoting best practice standards.
    • Deliver a responsive, patient-focused service, prioritizing patient needs and maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
    • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans and facilitate smooth patient transitions within the healthcare system.
    • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, complying with data protection regulations.
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the evaluation and enhancement of patient care processes.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Registered Nurse with current registration on the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Register.
    • Band 5/6 level experience in a community healthcare setting, preferably within an Emergency Medical Unit (EMU) or similar acute care environment.
    • Demonstrated clinical competency in assessing and treating patients, including medication administration and clinical procedures.
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to act as a role model and mentor to junior staff.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to engage effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
    • Commitment to maintaining professional standards and engaging in continuous professional development activities.
