Description

Post 1:
a split post between Liverpool Fresh CAMHS and the Rainbow Centre.

Post 2:
a split post between Liverpool Fresh CAMHS and the new Framework for Integrated Care team.

Both posts will be based across Alder Hey Children's hospital site and the new CAMHS base at Liverpool Innovation Park, and will involve meetings in community locations.

We would like to invest in child and adolescent psychotherapy across all three services as we believe your unique skills and experience will enhance what we are able to offer to children and young people experiencing distress.

We are hoping for a psychoanalytic approach to team thinking, an ability to creatively engage and work with individuals with severe or entrenched difficulties, and leadership and supervision of colleagues

You will be provided with ongoing supervision from a more senior child and adolescent psychotherapist to help you engage in self-reflection, seek and respond to feedback, and develop your professional knowledge and skills.

Liverpool Fresh CAMHS is a large multi-disciplinary team which includes consultant psychiatry, psychotherapy, clinical psychology, social work, occupational therapy, and new psychological professions.

We provide assessment and evidence-based interventions, consultation with professionals and systems around the child, and training.

We encourage special interests in areas of work including children in care, children with a learning disability and early years.

The Rainbow Centre is a sexual assault referral centre (SARC) that serves Cheshire and Merseyside.

The SARC includes a small psychology-led service, which provides assessment, intervention and consultation to victims of sexual assault and abuse.

The Framework for Integrated Care is a relatively new service for Liverpool and Sefton.

It was developed in response to the NHS Long Term Plan commitment to further invest in services for children and young people with complex needs.

This refers to children and young people who present with high risk behaviours, high harm behaviours and high vulnerability.

They are likely to have difficulties in multiple domains (mental health, physical health, neurodevelopmental), which are persistent, severe and are framed by family and social contexts.

Our intention is for the FIC team to be co-located with children's social care, to provide a trauma-informed service for children and young people who do not easily engage with professionals.

Alder Hey are offering excellent benefit schemes;

This will be paid in two parts, £250 in first month pay on commencement in post, and £750 on completion of six months.

Accommodation

Alder Hey will support the cost of accommodation for up to 3 months from the date of employment (up to £500 per month)

The cost is to be paid by the staff member and reclaimed as expenses.

Relocation package

If you are enthusiastic and confident with a friendly and outgoing manner, and a focus on providing the best possible service to patients we would like to hear from you.

Please see the attached document for full job description and responsibilities.

Please note the Framework for Integrated Care half of the second post is a substantive position within Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust however the "vanguard" funding is currently temporary until December 2025, therefore the post holder may be moved to another service/team within children and young people's mental health services, (maintaining the same banding), should future funding not be secured past this date.

Any questions or queries regarding this please contact the recruitment team who will arrange a discussion with the recruiting manager.
