- Successfully performs all responsibilities of the Code Welder position, maintaining a minimum of 3 weld certifications.
- Reads and interprets blueprints with detailed drawings and dimension styles.
- Prepares weld surfaces as required.
- Sets up, positions, and operates hand and power tools such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.
- Determines welder settings required on project and verifies final weld penetration and aesthetics.
- Welds prep and fit-up of steel parts and welds according to all appropriate codes and procedures.
- Uses basic math skills to calculate and convert decimals and fractions as needed.
- Monitors quality of weld using appropriate tools and measuring devices.
- Checks welding process to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion or expansion of material.
- Performs grinding, gouging, chipping operating a grinder, cutting torch, etc.
- Operates forklift, as needed, according to safe operating procedures.
- Performs all functions safely and follows all safety standards and procedures.
- Understands and promotes the ISO 9001/2015 culture ensuring that every function and operation happens with high quality.
- Demonstrates commitment to HSEQ. Actively encourages and leads others to implement and comply with project HSEQ requirements
- Ensures that risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) are reviewed with regards to HSE requirements and that work is carried out in accordance with the RAMS
- Prepares and works with Site supervisor and Service manager to follow-up deviations and claims
- Delivers Lessons Learned and feedback for current and future projects
- Keeps the Site Supervisor informed of all site related activities
- City and Guilds Level 3 Engineering
- Experienced in delivering Welding services to a large industrial plant
- Working in enclosed space certified
- £40,000
- Bupa Private Med including partner and children up to 25 years as long as they still live at home
- Up to 10% Contributory Pension

- Overtime Rates – Monday to Saturday 140%, Sundays, and bank holidays 180%
- Daily Accommodation Allowance – Outside M25: £45/ night, Inside M25: £55/ night

- Bonus - targeted at 8.5% of base salary; based on company and personal targets
