    We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Reinsurance Data Analyst.     This position is for a Technical Lines Reinsurance Data Analyst working within the Tech Lines broking team. This role provides support to both broking and analytical teams through the preparation and analysis of client data. This position is crucial in the preparation of 'one off' and ongoing project work, as well as supporting the renewal and placement of reinsurance programmes.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
    • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines to ensure efficient and accurate data flow.
    • Implement data quality controls and perform data validation to ensure the integrity and reliability of reinsurance data.
    • Develop and maintain data models and databases to support reinsurance analytics and reporting.
    • Identify opportunities for process automation and optimisation to improve efficiency and scalability.
    • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in reinsurance and data engineering.
    • Collaborate with clients to ensure the integrity and accuracy of data.

    We will rely on you to:

    • Clean, join and aggregate data from multiple internal and external data sources.
    • Ability to identify and resolve problems, think creatively, strategically, and analytically.
    • Solve problems with a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach, combining technical expertise with business knowledge.
    • Work with large data sets and create processes for efficient analysis and management of data.
    • Ability to communicate results to diverse audiences, including both internal and external stakeholders.

    What you need to have:

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
    • Proven experience as a Data Engineer, preferably in the reinsurance or insurance industry.
    • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, and/or R.
    • Advanced Excel skills.
    • Proficiency in data modeling, database design, and data warehousing concepts.
    • Experience with ETL tools and data integration frameworks.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
    • Experience working with small and large data sets.

    • Familiarity with reinsurance concepts, terminology, and industry-specific data requirements. Understanding the unique challenges and complexities of reinsurance data.
    • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, actuaries, and IT professionals.
    • The ability to translate technical concepts into understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders is valuable.
