    Port Facilities cannot operate without PFSO's, the role of the Port Facility Security Lead (PFSL) is to ensure consistency across the Group in the safety and security of port facilities, their personnel, cargo, and vessels. Operating under national and international regulations, especially the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code, the PFSL (in conjunction with the Group Security Manager and PFSO's) is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of the port facility security plans.

    Security Plan Development and Implementation

    • Draft, update, and implement the Port Facility Security Plan (PFSP) in accordance with the ISPS Code and national regulations.
    • Identify and evaluate security risks and propose appropriate mitigation measures to ensure the safety of the port facility

    Training and Awareness

    • Work with Group Security Manager and PFSO's in delivering security awareness and training programmes.
    • Work with Group Security Manager and PFSO's in ensuring all staff are aware of security policies, processes and procedures.

    Compliance and Coordination

    • Ensure Compliance with relevant internation and national regulations.
    • Coordinate security measures with ship security officers and relevant authorities.

    Security Inspections and Audits

    • Ensure regular security inspections and audits are carried out.

    Communication

    • Implement effective communication of Port Facility Security related information.

    Team Leadership and Development

    • Lead, mentor and manage Port Facility Security Officers
    • Ensure Port Facility Security Team are properly trained.
    • Maintain a culture of security awareness and vigilance among all port facility staff.

    The role may require availability outside of standard working hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to respond to security incidents and emergencies.

    The job involves both office work and on-site supervision of port facilities across the Group

    Qualifications

    • Relevant experience
    • Ability to interact with employees, contractors, consultants, visitors, and management as well as external authorities such as Police, DfT, MoD.
