We are currently seeking an Internal Communications Officer to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis.

The Role
As the Internal Communications Officer, you will oversee all our internal communications work.
With an increase in staff and a new intranet, effective internal communication is paramount. You will develop and implement an imaginative and engaging internal communications plan.
You will write, design, proofread and publish Welsh and English content and evaluate its effectiveness. Supporting the Communications Team in developing governance, you will help colleagues produce content in-line with our organisational standards.
Additionally, you will support the development of the new intranet based upon Microsoft SharePoint.

About You
To be considered as the Internal Communications Officer, you will need:

  • Evidence of continuous professional development
  • Experience of producing written communications materials
  • Experience of working with, and using, an intranet on a Microsoft SharePoint platform
  • Excellent English and Welsh language skills
  • Knowledge of how to write excellent accurate content for different audiences and channels of communication
  • The ability to read, write and speak Welsh fluently
  • A degree or postgraduate qualification in journalism, media or general communications
  • Experience in the public sector
  • Working knowledge of how to produce accessible content
  • Working knowledge of producing accessible video content in Welsh and English
