    Description

I have partnered with a Prestigious US law firm who are looking to bring in an In-House Information Governance Attorney into their Office of the General Counsel team based in London.

The Information Governance Attorney is an integral part of Information Governance team.

Advising the firm on data governance issues, including document retention, file disposition, implementation of legal holds, and electronic document preservation, collection, review and production on a variety of legal matters.

Ensuring that the firm's management of information meets applicable legal, ethical, security, and privacy requirements in various jurisdictions. Developing policies, procedures, and guidelines for firm-wide data governance issues, including information security and privacy issues. Assist the firm's privacy counsel in GDPR compliance.

Whilst this may not strike you as an obvious in-house position, the nature of the role and the expectations in terms of hours/commitment mean this should very much be seen as such, offering a more predictable working pattern and more control over your time.

At the same time, you'll be working with top tier lawyers and be dealing with matters across the firms' network of international offices.

They are open to a range of candidates, coming from different backgrounds such as litigation and transactional work in either Private Practice or inhouse at a top law firm.

However, they will be - 5 PQE and have a good understanding of the sorts of transactional work that the firm covers.
