Homelessness Project Worker

I am looking to fill a vacancy in Haringey for a Homelessness Project Worker with previous
pubic sector/ local authority experience.

Please note that the pattern of working is shift work with availability from Monday-Sunday, full time (36 hours).

It is based on various sites in the London Borough of Haringey working in Temporary Accommodation and Hostels.


Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Providing practical support to clients in supported accommodation
  • Liaising with other external agencies i.e., the NHS, Housing Needs Service
  • Assistance with welfare and benefits claims
  • Supporting clients physically and emotionally
  • Engaging with clients and supporting their development and mental health
  • Identifying any safeguarding concerns and signs of coercion/ abuse
  • A background in homeless support I.e., working in a hostel or outreach service
  • Experience in the public sector such as employment by a London Borough Council
  • Proficiency in IT, Microsoft Word and Excel
  • An understanding of issues affecting rough sleepers/ homeless people.

Job Types:
Full-time, Temporary contract

Contract length: 3 months


Salary:
£16.85 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
