    Job summary

    Diabetes Specialist Nurse

    A Fixed term position has arisen for an experienced Diabetes Specialist Nurse to work full time at Wexham Park the hospital setting you will be responsible for in patients with diabetes, and coordinating the treatment plans for patients diagnosed with Diabetes.

    Main duties of the job

    You should have current experience in diabetes and be flexible and proactive in your approach. You will be working with the DSN's, ward nurses, practice /community nurses, Diabetologist, GP's, dieticians and podiatrists.

  • Current NMC registration
  • To have a recognised diabetes course
  • Nurse prescribing course (NMP)
  • Experience

  • Previous post registration NHS experience in a diabetes environment
  • Teaching and supervising of junior staff and students
  • Working with IT systems , patient centre
  • Desirable

  • Experience with technologies within diabetes
  • Experience of audit/research Publication
