As an experienced GP Vet, you will play a pivotal role in our practice, bringing your expertise to both surgical procedures and client consultations. In this role, you'll encounter a diverse caseload, with a well-balanced mix of surgical and medical cases, all supported by a dedicated and experienced nursing team. We're committed to your professional growth, with full certificate support available. Our clinic is known for its commitment to high-quality veterinary services, and we are excited to welcome a professional who shares our passion for animal welfare.
A Rewarding Role Awaits
Byre Veterinary Surgery holds a prestigious status as a recognised Centre of Excellence within the region. We take pride in delivering top-notch care to our patients and supporting our team members' development. We're particularly interested in hearing from certificate holders or those on the path to achieving such qualifications. Your expertise enriches our practice and contributes to our culture of excellence. Full time hours for this role would be 40 hours over 4-day workweek and 1 in 3 Saturday mornings, with out-of-hours care covered by Vets Now. We are more than happy to speak to candidate looking for part time hours. Our flexible approach to rota patterns and working hours ensures that you can maintain a healthy work-life balance, no matter your career stage.

Byre Veterinary Surgery boasts a purpose-built, state-of-the-art facility equipped with the latest tools and technology, including endoscopy and laparoscopy. We specialise in exotics, soft tissue/orthopaedic surgeries, and ophthalmology referrals, ensuring a broad spectrum of cases to challenge and inspire you.
Meet Our Dynamic Team
You'll be part of a collaborative team that includes 4 veterinarians, one of whom is a diplomat in exotics, 6 RVNs, 1 VCA, and 4 dedicated receptionists. We're deeply committed to community involvement, often seen supporting local events such as dog shows and school visits. As a member of our team, you must be MRCVS registered, bringing your passion for veterinary care and dedication to our practice.
