    We are looking for a Senior Management Accountant to join our finance team on an 11 month secondment.

    Senior Management Accountant

    Here's what you'll be doing

    We are looking for a Senior Management Account to join out team at Npower Business Solutions. In this team you'll take charge of producing and presenting tangible financial outcomes for crucial segments of our operations. Using your expertise in accounting, you'll ensure the precision and use your strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with key stakeholders.

    Ker Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the delivery of gross margin financial accounting information with supporting documentation adhering to approved gross margin processes and financial regulations, challenge inputs and processes where this is not the case
  • Evaluate variances between actual results and forecasts in detail, drawing out key drivers and trends in the results. Prepare financial reporting commentary and present these results to key stakeholders
  • Prepare inputs for key VAT and CCL returns to EON UK
  • Ensure the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts in a timely manner including identification of risks and variances
  • Review and challenge financial performance, information and processes, enhance and develop processes to meet business change requirements
  • Be a key point of contact for external auditors, provide support and evidence to contribute to the audit process
  • Assist and support the head of accounting in ad hoc projects
  • Contribute to continuous improvement within gross margin accounting
  • What we need from you

  • Fully qualified in a recognised accounting qualification, or the ability to demonstrate suitable experience within financial accounting
  • Strong core accounting ability is essential.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Strong technical accounting skills.
  • Proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data.
  • Strong knowledge of Accounting systems and processes.
  • IT literate, with Excel being a prerequisite
