    Major Works Programme Manager

    What we're looking for:

    Do you have experience of managing project budgets and implementing action plans to address adverse variances? Are you knowledgeable of building construction, best practice, and regulations? Are you qualified in MRICS, CIOB, Degree or HNC or relevant qualification and/or management experience or equivalent in managing Construction projects in Investment, Repairs and Maintenance? Are you able to successfully motivate and manage a team of professional and technical staff? Do you have experience in surveying/inspecting buildings, specification writing, tendering and procurement?If so, this role is perfect for you My client is a large Housing Association who have an opportunity for a Major Works Programme Manager.


    A bit about the role:

    As a Major Works Programme Manager, you will manage the delivery of planned investment programmes and provide leadership to the team of Capital Works Surveyors/Project Managers/Clerk of Works/Resident Liaison Officers.

    To effectively manage partnered and JCT contractors and consultants, procuring additional works contracts and staff resources where necessary. Proactively manage budgets exceeding £5m per annum.

    Some of the key results for the role include:

    Managing the contractors and ensuring the delivery of complex investment projects on time, budget and to a high standard of quality, ensuring value for money and excellent service provision.

    To ensure the Section 20 process is undertaken and completed in full where required.

    Ensuring that procurement and competitively tendered contracts meet agreed contractor selection processes and health and safety standards, and that statutory requirements including the Public Contracts Regulations are adhered to.

    Overseeing and supporting the Major Project Surveyors as required in the development of survey-based specifications and tendering and procurement processes.

    Supporting the Programme Manager and the consultants to develop programme and delivery forecasts for work programmes. 1 Effectively managing relationships with contract partners, consultants, and supply chain to ensure contractual, procurement, statutory and regulatory compliance.

    Establishing and implementing effective working arrangements & practices to ensure a consistent level of service delivery in line with the Housing Associations business plan.

    This role will require a UK driver's licence and access to a vehicle. A minimum of 1 to 2 days working in their Sutton office is required.
