Due to the expansion of the Health, Safety and Compliance teams at Derbyshire Support and Facilities Services Ltd (DSFS) based in Chesterfield an exciting opportunity has arisen to lead the Health and Safety Management Team.

The post holder will undertake the role of the Head of the Health and Safety Management Team and fulfil the position of being the strategic professional advisor to the DSFS and Chesterfield Royal Hospital Trust (CRH) advising both leadership boards upon key Health, Safety and Compliance strategies whilst ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and guidance.

The post holder will be responsible to the Operations Director for all Health and Safety related governance and assurance activities.

Applicants should have extensive experience in working at a senior health and safety level delivering professional leadership and guidance upon all facets of the Health, Safety and Compliance remits.


To undertake the role of responsible person for the Trust across all areas of Fire, Security and Safety Services statutory compliance.

Developing strategies, systems and staff to deliver fully compliant services and provide board level reporting and assurance.

Produce and periodically update a Trusts Safety Strategy that is fully aligned with the Trusts Clinical Services Strategy, identifies business and commercial development opportunities and acts as a corporate planning tool.

Lead the Safety team to develop and implement strategic service development plans and objectives that are aligned with and enable the Trusts and DSFS Core Objectives.

Contribute to the DSFS & Trusts performance against National priorities including PLACE, ERIC, Waste Regulations, and Premises Assurance Model (PAM).
